Surviving January and Surgery

Posted by Scott in family

This past Monday Karen underwent knee surgery for three separate problems. The main one being a torn meniscus from a few years back in which she was misdiagonosed by a lame-o HMO doctor. Anyway, Karen is doing doing excellent and we will be seeing the doctor on Tuesday for a follow-up visit where her physical thearapy will be determined. So, that’s what the Evanskeys have been doing this week. I have been working overtime to keep Karen in good health for a speedy recovery and watching Jaden like a hawk! I wanted to say thank you to everyone that stop by for a visit with a comforting word or yummy food. Your help has been extremely appreciated by all of us. The week before Karen’s surgery was filled with a lot of fun-filled times at Disneyland (thanks again, Joe!), La Brea Tar Pits, and Legoland! I will be uploading a bunch of photos for everyone to peruse soon.

I hope Karen’s knee is okay. I don’t know what I’m seeing in this xray, but it’s obviously something of concern.

She had a torn meniscus (sp?) and few other things in her knee. She is doing great now and should be back to full health in the next month or so. How’s everything with you?
