Why Vote for Kerry
Is it because that he wants a better America, one free from the mess that Bush has swept us all up into? Or, is it because he voluntarily enlisted to serve in a war that was being fought for all the wrong reasons and then have the guts to stand up in front of congress and tell it like it is, that much like this war, that one was wrong too?
Or is it because of this picture? Who knew the man who will hopefully be our next President had something to do with Star Wars!

The Star Wars connection just decided the issue for me. Until I find out that Bush starred in some movie yet cheesier than Star Wars, he’ll be getting this moviegoer’s vote. (I think I’ve just confirmed myself as hopeless in at least three people’s minds . . .)
Great Photoshop job, BTW. Would love to see it a little larger to appreciate your handiwork!

Actually Arlen that’s the the real actor no photoshop work was done on that! For now though, you can view the full size version of any photo here http://www.evanskey.com/blog/images/

I thought a couple weeks back you had mentioned a picture you had edited . . . anyway, that dude is a dead ringer for JK.

I want a better America, too. Vote for me!

I wonder if Kerry also tried to bring a socialist economic agenda to Hoth, too.
Sorry, Scott. Couldn’t resist.

One of my colleagues was wearing a t-shirt today reading “I’d rather be choking republicans.” I asked her if she was really that full of animosity & she said yes, she hates republicans. I said I thought we were friends, and she said of course we are! Hmm. Dems seem awfully bloodthirsty these days.

Yeah, Arlen, but you are only a temporary Republican, and everybody knows it…
I just wish the Democratic party as a whole was a little more bloodthirsty… The GOP has the whole anger/paranoia/belligerence agenda locked up. Fear sells, and the Republicans know how to push it. I’m just afraid that they are going to win this one. See, the fear is spreading…

I take that as a compliment; but I dunno . . . as long as Democrats have abortion as a major plank in their platform, I will have a hard time identifying myself with them.

I see your point - but keeping it as a token “agenda” that you are not really serious about pursuing isn’t much better. The GOP cultivates the issue because it appeals to their core, but they keep their distance from it because it would drive the flabby “middle” away in droves. They need the flip-flop votes. Both sides need the flab.
Anyway, there is always “Independent.” That’s what I am, and it makes me feel a little better because the Dems drive me crazy. If they ever show signs of getting their act together, I may consider going back. I don’t see it yet, and I’m afraid it’s going to cost them this election.

That’s true. It’s easy to forget about the “third” way (which includes all ways not Dem or GOP).
Happy birthday, by the way–tried calling your cell and no response; no home answering machine. Hope you had a good time out last night.

I’ve voted in the middle in past presidential races and, man, talk about feeling like your vote doesn’t count. Someone commented at my site that because of that feeling, they would rather vote for the lesser of the two evils (Dem or GOP) so that at least they can help to keep the most evil out of office. It’s a tough race.
That’s crazy about the girl with the T-shirt. Everyone I’ve talked to seems to be more towards the middle, leaning a certain direction, rather than extremely to one side or the other… with the exception of the the owner of this site.

Hey, A, thanks for the birthday wish - I have been neglecting my cell phone lately, but I will be back at work this week, so those days are ending. I will send an email with my phone numbers to make sure you are current.
I re-registered to vote yesterday (I moved upstairs) and aligned myself with the Dems. I’m still not too happy about it. I kinda feel like I just bought a ticket on the Titanic… Oh well, you do get better stuff in the mail if you go with one of the two parties.
