Sick as a Dog and Loving It!

Posted by Scott in family

The past two weeks have been pretty tough for me. I picked up Jaden from school early two Fridays ago cuz he caught something that was going around the school and he had a high fever. He toughed it out that weekend and seemed better by Monday morning which he had off from school. I took him and one of his friends from school and his mom to the science museum in LA to see the new Star Wars exhibit. We all had a great time and we will definitely be heading back to see it once more before it closes in April, however, being around Jaden the previous weekend non-stop and then a museum filled with tons of coughing kids, my defense systems broke down and I picked some virus thing that turned into something bad and it knocked me on my butt for the whole week and I still can’t shake this cough. Being sick… well, sucks. Other than the sick thing here’s a picture of Jaden being brought in for questioning by a fierce servant of the Empire, although he was very nice.

On a good note, I’m into my last week of the trimester and Wednesday, although filled with Finals, will be my last day and I should have a week and a half off before my new classes start in March. School is going very good for me, the grades are excellent, the learning is incredible, powerful, and fun, unlike most of high school for me ;) and I’m putting things in motion with the job counsellors at the school to get me into a decent position in one of the big game companies here in LA/Orange County. So, I’m pattin’ myself on the back and giving a “yay me” shout out.

On a final note, Karen has been searching for a dog nonstop for the past two months and found a sweet little white terrier mix and rescued it. She’s a great little dog with all her shots, microchipped, crate trained and housebroken!

Man… we just got over that sickness thing about a week ago and now… we feel it might be coming back again! Sucks! Hope you all feel better soon.

Crate training is the way to go. When I first heard about that it sounded cruel and unusual, but dogs actually like it. It’s good for everybody.

That’s good news about school and job prospects. Today is my 11th anniversary with “the company”.

Keep up the good work, bro.

Yeah the sickness thing is a major downer and it came just in time for finals week! Everyone else is doing AOK but I’m still feeling a little sluggish and the lingering cough is really annoying.

The dog is pretty much trained but were still sticking with the typical crate training technique’s until she’s accustomed to our house.

Congrats on 11 years man! That’s very cool. Yeah I’m hoping some really cool job opps happen this month. I’m working really hard on pushing myself in this industry. I have a possible movie shoot with some guys I used to work for at my previous job who want to be involved with a game I’m developing and who saw the “Corporate Takeover” video on YouTube and want to reshoot it but with professional equipment, an actual script and in a real office, with possible screenshots of the game.
