I Heart Documentaries
I’m big a fan of documentary films (especially if they slam the Bush Administration, e.g., Fahrenheit 9/11, Loose Change, etc.) but all types are welcome and now the grand daddy of them all will be coming out on August 17… King of Kong! This has nothing to do with King Kong but everything to do with Donkey Kong, the awesomely addictive video game of the early 80s. The flick is about Steve Wiebe, a down-on-his-luck school teacher who loves to play Donkey Kong who decides to challenge the all-time high scoring champion Bill Mitchell for the world championship title of Donkey Kong high scorers. Click the pic to view the trailer of this “Rocky” for Gamers documentary and I’ll see you an neon-laced arcade!
Side note #1: I still play this game at my school where they have an original kiosk arcade version in their game room along with some other great late 80s games. It’s so freakin’ awesome, I can’t even stand it!
Side note #2: This is the first appearance of the Mario character that went on to become super famous for all those Mario Bros. games!

Scott! Hi there! I was poking around the Web and thought I’d check in here to see what you Evanskeys are up to. I’m so glad I did! You got two dogs! How are they getting along with the cats?
Also, I can’t believe how tall Jaden is in the recent pix.
Anyway, just checking in to say hello.
