Geeks of the World, Unite!
I’m Geeking Out Tomorrow! The day has finally come when the Star Wars trilogy (albeit slightly modified) finally comes to DVD. Everything I have read says that these movies look unbelievable on disc and the sound is nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait! No tso long ago, I think I would have gone to the midnight release party (even at the evil Best Buy) to get a copy and then do an all night movie marathon with some snacks and cool beverages. Anyway, here’s a pic from the past where some friends came over to challenge the (Ahem) master of all things Star Wars at a knock-down-drag-out brawl of Star Wars Trivial Pursuit. Do I hear someone saying “Rematch”? Rich? Let’s see, I believe the participants (victims) at this match-up were Lori, Dave C., Pat, Dave R., Scott, and Rich and I believe Karen was taking the picture and making fun of us… hehehe

I wonder what percentage of your posts have Star Wars references in them? Say that ‘minds me… Have you seen (of course you have) the “What if Star Wars ruled the world” show on VH1? There’s some cool footage and interviews in it I hadn’t seen before. But of course, I’m no superfan. I don’t even seen to care that the movies are modified. Am I going to Star Wars hell for that? I do plan on pickin up a copy though.

Man, looking at that picture, I can almost smell the old Doritos and questionable personal hygiene. Not good.
I can’t handle all the changes being made to the old films. I heard that they Photoshopped in the young Anikan from the new movies over the old dude at the end of Jedi (the ghost scene). That is crap! I think the ghost of the old dude was a better actor than that whiny kid who plays Anikan!

Those are some sweet easy chairs in that pic! I’d watch any movie, even Star Wars, if I could relax in one of those things.

Hell I’m a better actor than him. They should have put a picture of me in there. And in those love scenes with Natalie Portman.

you don’t even post who came in 2nd? 3rd, 4th or 5th for that matter. I believe I was distracted with a few too many beers and plus you probably rigged the game in your favor. It was yours correct?
Thanks for fond memory

Finally gettin’ around to postin’
Yeah Joe, I have it on my Tivo and am trying to figure out how to transfer to my computer to put it on DVD.
Mark, there are a lot of changes other than that and even after Lucas’ explanation I still have a hard time weeing Hayden Christensen as the ghost of Anakin. Ouch!
Is that “the” Dave C.?
