Move Over Don Johnson, It’s Scan Time!
In honor of the recently announced Miami Vice Season 1 DVD box set coming soon, I thought I’d offer this time capsule of fun. Who knew that they weren’t accepting applications from 8th graders for the role Sonny Crockett! Anyway, it was the 80s and we all dressed pretty bad.
Still, I’m pretty excited that the famous duo, Crockett and Tubbs are finally coming to DVD. And, the fact that I actually had an outfit like this and wore it to my 8th grade graduation! Well that is just too cool. Coincidence? I think not

Okay, I’ve added an extra picture that I found of Mark D. in his Miami Vice outfit and as soon as I can grab a screen capture of Jon in his Miame Vice duds, I’ll post that one too. For now, just dust off that old cassette or LP (oh heck, why don’t you just download it for Pete’s sake) of the Miami Vice theme song and enjoy some goofy pics!

I also wore a Don Johnson suit to 8th grade graduation! Did we notice at the time and accuse each other of stealing the other guy’s idea? Shyeah, right… like it was an original idea. Not.

I’m pretty sure I looked like a retard at 8th grade graduation. You guys were cool! It’s only 20 years later that you look kinda Crocketty.

The best part is I have pictures of 8th grade graduation and may have you guys in a couple of those pics! Even better, I have the entire event on video! And, somewhere on the video you do get to see both of you guys doing your best graduation walks as well as Mark D. and me.

Nice. If memory serves me, I had the most authentic Miami Vice look going - espadrilles even… And Scott probably remembers the MV hideout I had going in the attic of my house - palm trees and all, with the soundtrack spinning on the turntable. Dang, we are old.

I do remember the suit and the attic. It was a totally awesome pad (que the music). In fact I decided to post an extra pic that I just happen to come across!

Damn! It’s amazing we weren’t beaten senseless for wearing that garb. I guess a Christian education has its perks…
