Construction, Part the First
Last month the Evanskeys embarked on a construction cruise to spiffy-up our front yard. We decided that about three major things needed to happen. 1) push back our 10′ x 22′ garden by adding 7 feet of driveway and creating a 10 inch tall rock wall garden, 2) widen the west side driveway to remove unnecessary strip of grass, and 3) widen the driveway on the east side curve by an extra 3 feet. The project is done now but phase two will hopefully start up in May or June by finishing the rock wall garden along the entire front of the garage. I will post updates on that as it proceeds. Until then here are some construction photos (hopefully I’ll get some up on Flickr soon).

above photos: most of the plants were saved for the new garden.

above photos: The new 3 foot extension on the east side allows for more maneuverability for the boat (not the red and white one shown, that one is in the process of being sold… anyone want to buy a boat?)

above photos: new stone wall and facade along with the 7 foot extension of the driveway.

above: four new slabs of concrete and me applying drylok near the foundation.
